Ist race of each day will be counted for Club Season Total \n  \n4.2       The warning signal for the first race of the day (Club Race) of competition for the first boat will be 12:00 hr.(noon) \n  \n4.3       A competitor’s meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on July12 and 13th at the Pelican Yacht Club  House. \n  \n\n Sailing Instructions\n\n5.1       The Sailing Instructions included below. \n  \n\n Courses\n\n6.1       The race course to be sailed will be in accordance with the 2025-28 Racing Rules of Sailing. The Sailing Instructions will explicitly describe the course. \n  \n\n Scoring\n\n7.1                   The Low Point Scoring System\, as described in Appendix A of the Racing Rules of \nSailing will apply. Boats will handicapped with the PHRF Handicapping System. \n  \n\n Safety\n\n8.1                   All competitors should wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) at all times while on water. \n  \n\n Registration\n\n9.1       Please register your boat online or at the club. or at the Club Friday evening. This changes rules A4 and A5. \n  \n9 THE FINISH  \n10.1 Boats not racing shall keep clear of the finish line \n10.2 The race committee reserves the right to give/offer an on course finish(s) to any \ncompetitors which will be designated with OCF. \n  \n10 PENALTY SYSTEM  \nRule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty. \n  \n11 PROTESTS AND REQUESTS FOR REDRESS  \n12.1 The protest time limit is 60 minutes after the course signal boat docks. \n12.2 Decisions of the protest committee will be final as provided in rule 70.5. \n  \n12 SCORING  \n13.1 The Low Point System of Appendix A will apply. \n  \n13 SAFETY REGULATIONS  \n14.1 Keel boat competitors shall have DOT approved PFD’s on board for each person on the boat.  This amends rule 40. \n14.2 A boat that retires from a race shall notify the race committee as soon as possible \n. \n14 RADIO COMMUNICATION  \n15.1 Except in an emergency\, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. \n15.2 All support boats shall carry a VHF radio and monitor the appropriate channel which will be announced at the Competitors Meeting. \n  \n16 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY  \nCompetitors participate in the event entirely at their own risk.
